Thinspiration

by - 11:02 AM

I don't know if it's just me or not, but this topic can come off as a bit controversial. The term thinspiration is often used when others compare themselves to models and celebrities, striving to reach their unattainable and unsustainable body images. For me, I like to use it as motivation. Even though, yes, I won't deny that I care about my image and how I look, I am more focused on being healthy.

I know it can be so hard to lose weight and start a healthy lifestyle, whether it be eating the right foods, working out or just lifestyle changes in your everyday routine. As they say, it's always easier to do with a buddy,  so let's help each other out! I'm going to share with you guys some photos that I like to look at for inspiration. It's similar to daily fashion pictures, just for fitness and health instead. Because once you achieve the body you desire, you can wear what you feel comfortable in and that always leads to new clothes, so it comes around full circle. At least that's what you can tell yourself when you're shopping, right? Enjoy!

  7. Great post, I think it`s a good inspiration, everyone can inspire to whatever they like without any judgement from other, but I personally, don`t particularity have this skinny body, I am curvy, which took a long time to accept, but still no one can judge me because of it.
As long as we have a healthy body (which I have because I work out) it`s fine, being healthy is important, and in most cases thin people are healthier than fat people. A saying might apply to this post: " Saying fat is healthy is like saying smoking is cool"
But still overall, it`s ok to be inspired by this photos, but inspired not to become obsessed with them :)
But anyways, thank you for visiting my blog, and for your lovely comment :)

  16. I have never liked the term thinspiration as no one should inspire to be thin but to be healthy and fit I have pictures like yours that I look up to to give me motivation to go work out when im to tired too though I no I will never have their body as I am a different proportion but they give me inspiration to be the best version of myself but as woman we should inspire to be fit and healthy the best version of ourselves as thinspiration is kind of a negative word great post

  18. Hmm.. the topic IS controversial. I feel like there should be 'cool' role models that are bigger too. Maybe we all aspire to be skinny and thin because we associate the skinny with the celebrities, being beautiful, noticed, appreciated: successful. Maybe if there were fuller women (just normal, not obese!) we would be a little happier. I don't really know.
